Peppol & VAT check
Is your customer registered on Peppol, and is their VAT number valid? Enter a VAT or enterprise number to check both at once.
Why check this?
Since 1 January 2026 Belgian VAT-registered companies must send B2B invoices via Peppol. Before you send, you need to know if your customer can receive them and under which Peppol ID. In Belgium that is usually 0208 followed by the enterprise number.
The VAT check uses VIES, the official service of the European Commission. A valid result confirms the number is active for intra-EU trade.

The Peppol Directory only lists participants whose access point publishes them. If your customer is not listed, ask them or their accounting software for their Peppol ID. Your own access point can also check the registration (SMP lookup) when sending.
